John's career includes nearly three decades at Caltrans, culminating as Deputy District Director for Caltrans District 6, where he managed a division of roughly 500 people and a budget exceeding $150 million, responsible for maintaining and operating about 2,000 centerline-miles of highway. He also served as Acting Assistant Division Chief of Traffic Operations at Caltrans headquarters, and held Branch Chief and Transportation Engineer roles across multiple Caltrans districts and the City of Roseville. At BK&A, his work covers traffic safety, highway design, highway maintenance, and traffic engineering.
John earned his B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from UC Berkeley, and is a Registered Professional Civil Engineer and Traffic Engineer.
