Dean's academic background is in mechanical engineering, including graduate research at Brigham Young University on the biomechanical analysis of the human lumbar spine, work that's since been cited in published biomechanics literature. Before joining Boster, Kobayashi & Associates, his experience included work as a senior consultant at Rimkus Consulting Group and as a senior mechanical engineer at Action Target. He also holds multiple mechanical engineering patents.
