Dario spent over two decades with Caltrans District 5, most recently as Traffic Safety Branch Chief (2017–2024), where he managed the district's safety review process, ADA compliance program, and Highway Safety Improvement Program. His Caltrans career also included a term as Acting Statewide Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Branch Chief, and he served as City Traffic Engineer for the City of San Luis Obispo (2003–2007). At BK&A, his work centers on traffic safety, highway design, and highway construction and maintenance.
Dario earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering and Master of Industrial & Technical Studies in Engineering Management, both from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and is a Registered Professional Civil Engineer and Traffic Engineer.
